Consider the reappointment of Olie (Buster) Cushing to the Board of Family and Children Services for a term beginning July 1, 2024 and expiring June 30, 2029 as recommended by the DFCS Board; Consider the appointment of Jessica Threadgill for a term beginning July 1, 2024 and expiring June 30, 2029 as recommended by the DFCS Board.

Consider request to rezone 149.907 +/- acres from R-40 to AG. Planning Commission recommended approval.

Case #24-05-004S Parks Huff for Yogeshkumar Patel (BOC Dist. 3).

Consider request for a Special Use Permit Application for a package store. Applicant is seeking an Exceptional Variance in accordance with Section 8.18.3 and Article 8, Table 10 of the Zoning Ordinance to allow for another retail and service use for property located within the Traditional Neighborhood Development District.  Planning Commission recommended approval of a Special Use Permit for a package store with the conditions and approval of the Exceptional Variance.

Board-Initiated Rezoning - 6699 Bells Ferry Road. (BOC District 3).

Consider Board-initiated rezoning of 1.5 +/- acres of property located at 6699 Bells Ferry Road in addition to acquired right-of-way. The request is also for concurrent variances. Public Hearing was held on May 21, 2024.

Case #24-04-003 Jeff Rusbridge for We2Friends Coffeehouse LLC (BOC Dist. 2). Applicant requested to withdraw application without prejudice on 5/31/2024.

Consider request to rezone 0.92 +/- acres of property from General Agricultural (AG) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC) for a coffeehouse and gift shop. The applicant is also requesting a concurrent variance to Table 10.1: Minimum Buffer Width Between Abutting Districts, to eliminate the required 30' zoning buffer; to Article 7, Table 7.1A: Minimum District Development Standards to reduce the required building setbacks for existing buildings from the proposed property line; to Article 12, Section 12.1 to reduce the minimum parking requirement from 12 to 9; and to Cherokee County Standard Detail 210 - Non-Residential Driveway to eliminate a required deceleration lane.  (The Applicant requested a one month postponement on May 3, 2024.)

Consider approval of a request to allocate $64,769.45 in CDBG funds for "Projects to be Determined" from Program Year 2023 grant funds to The Children's Haven for unexpected costs related to water main repairs and replacement.

Annual ARC Grant for Senior Services.

Consider approval to accept annual Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) Subgrant Agreement on behalf of the Senior Services Department in the amount of $1,454,027.92 for State Fiscal Year 2025, beginning July 1, 2024.

Amendment 2 to Design Services Agreement for Hickory Road and Stringer Road Sidewalk Project.

Consider approval of Amendment 2 to the Design Services Agreement with Volkert, Inc., for additional survey, sidewalk design and pond analysis on Stringer Road, under the Hickory Road and Stringer Road Sidewalk Project, in the amount of $66,140.00.

Amendment 2 to Design Services Agreement for Holly Springs Parkway at Palm Street Intersection Improvements Project.

Consider approval of Amendment 2 to the Design Services Agreement with Keck & Wood, Inc., for the Holly Springs Parkway at Palm Street Intersection Improvement Project, to add foundation investigation and structural analysis, in the amount of $27,000.00.

Amendment 3 to Construction Agreement for Shaw Drive Drainage Improvement Project.

Consider approval of Amendment 3 to Construction Agreement with Baldwin Paving Company, Inc., for the Shaw Drive Drainage Improvement project, in the amount of $57,087.50, for remedial work and additional drainage improvements for the Kellogg Creek Road at Jacobs Road Intersection Improvement Project.

Mountain Park Road Drainage Improvement Project - Construction.

Consider approval to award a Standard Construction Agreement for construction of the Mountain Park Road Drainage Improvement Project to Advanced Road Construction, LLC, in the amount of $286,140.00.

Vehicle purchases for Marshal's Office.

Consider approval of request from Marshal's Office to purchase of one new Ford Police Interceptor Explorer from Wade Ford in the amount of $44,065.00 and one new Ford F-150 pickup from Hardy Ford in the amount of $47,129.00.

Amendment 2 to Professional AE Services Agreement for the Arts Center.

Consider approval of Amendment 2 to the Professional AE Services Agreement for the Arts Center (94 North Street) with Pieper O’Brien Herr Architects, LTD., for additional interior design services in the amount of $169,785.00.

Professional AE Services Agreement for Courtroom Addition at the Justice Center.
